The last act of human kindness: And other stories - Kevin Quinn
Kevin Quinn has been staring into space for as long as he can remember. An avid stargazer, and passionate campaigner for the protection of the dark night sky, he has been the main driving force behind the Cerne Abbas Star Party, hosts and attends public stargazing events, and generally tries to get out under the stars as often as possible. As well as his non-fiction stargazing books, Kevin has recently branched out into writing science-fiction short stories, again drawing on over 20 years of astronomical observations. Originally from Northern Ireland, Kevin now lives in Dorset.
GENRE: Science fiction
Blurb:
From rogue AI and the ethics of colonisation to first contact scenarios and confronting the climate crisis on a cosmic scale, these stories challenge the reader's perspective on our species' place in the universe. Kevin Quinn utilises concepts based on real astronomical observations and NASA-prototyped technologies, ensuring that the fear and wonder feel immediate and intensely plausible.
