Ashes of the mind - Ivan De Zan

Ivan De Zan was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1986. Always liked writing. Went to college, didn't finish it. Got married, had three kids. Had something he wanted to write, so he did. Ivan doesn't have fancy titles, he's not a professor. He's not a former student of a well known person. Ivan just has imagination of a different kind of world we're living in. He likes to challenge the mind with „What if...” scenarios, so all his characters have both darkness and light in them. This world has taught him that doing good is not always the right thing to do. In his life there has been a lot of good and bad. A lot of emotions he has poured into his characters, hoping to deliver at least a fragment of empathy to his readers. Even though these are fiction novels, a lot of his soul has been divided into all of his characters. The loneliness, the awkwardness, the friendship and love, fear and anger, the striving for righteousness are just some of the emotions that he honored in his novels.

GENRE: Psychological thriller, dark fantasy.

Blurb:

Alice's mind is shattered. Something else lives inside her—something hungry that wears her face and leaves bodies in its wake. Days vanish. Memories blur. Now she's waking up covered in blood with no idea whose it is. The monster in her reflection says it's protecting her. The police say she's a victim. But the bodies keep piling up... and she's running out of time to prove she's not the killer.
