Fresh Out of the Baptismal Pool - Brandon Dusanic

Brandon Dusanic is a committed follower of Jesus Christ, whose faith shapes every aspect of his life and work. He is a graduate of Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida, and an active member of Trinity at Oakleaf in Orange Park, Florida. A retired U.S. Navy Avionics Technician, Brandon spent much of his military career working on helicopters stationed in Mayport, Florida. Since retiring from the Navy, he has pursued roles in education and entrepreneurship, continuing to serve others through leadership, mentorship, and example. Brandon is a full-time single father to his two children, Liam and Kellyn, and their loyal dog, Lucy—the beloved “Wonder Dog.” He is deeply committed to being a present and positive influence in their lives and his community. In his free time, Brandon enjoys traveling, golfing, fishing, gardening, and taking full advantage of the Florida lifestyle. Much of his time is joyfully spent supporting his children's activities, especially cross-country meets and school events. He lives by the motto: Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat—"Fortune favors the brave."

GENRE: Christian Nonfiction

Blurb:

Fresh Out of the Baptismal Pool is a sharp, funny, and tender exploration of faith at its most awkward beginning. With clear eyes and a restless heart, the narrator steps into belief only to wrestle with doubt, desire, and the pull of the old self. Part memoir, part cultural critique, the book captures the strange in-between space where conviction is new, certainty is fragile, and grace is still learning how to walk. It’s honest without being cynical, reverent, and deeply human.
