Dancing with a Daemon - Elen Sentier
I'm a quirky, off the wall, wild woman and Crazy Cat Lady. And I’m wed to a mad-scientist ex-particle physicist, so I've had Quantum with the cornflakes since forever! I share my an ancient Shropshire farmhouse with him as well as my black witchy cat and a host of wildlife. It's the purrrfick place for writing. Magic, quantum physics and cats go very well together, as Erwin Schroedinger knew! I write Celtic Noir - dark, spicy romance with feisty, passionate women who never conform, have magic at their fingertips, challenge norms, and right wrongs, set in the wilds of western Britain, the Highlands of Scotland and south-west France. I was born into a family who practiced the old ways of British magic for many generations since time out of mind so the old magic is in my bones. My Mum’s mum was a witch from the Isle of Mann married to a Roma chovihano, one who sees and can release knots of tangled dreams. My father was a cyfarwydd (old Welsh for Taleweaver) and his family worked with Helena Blavatsky and were deep friends with Annie Besant. My Aunt Ida owned the sacred well in our village whose story goes back 4,000 years, and was the inspiration for my novel Owl Woman.
