A.J. Tyler’s love of writing started at 16 when he read Dalton Trumbo’s Johnny Got His Gun. The ability of Trumbo to transport Tyler into the mind of the wounded soldier made him realize the power of writing. Tyler developed a passion for reading, especially thrillers, and dreamt of becoming an author. His father encouraged him to attend business school, and to earn a Master of Laws degree. His degrees took him into the business world, where he accumulated a background that adds authenticity to his writing. Tyler practiced for 36 years until the business was sold to a public company. He left to consult with troubled businesses, but his passion for writing was never far away. He fulfilled his need to write by crafting innovative and imaginative business plans. Along the way Tyler developed a love for creative cooking and wine. He opened a restaurant and worked with numerous other restaurants to develop unique menu items and beautiful spaces. He plied that trade for 9 years while he worked in private on his manuscripts. Tyler is breaking through in 2024 with the release of his book, Death Insured, a novel that brings together his business background as well as his love of plot twists and turns. Along the way he wrote a chapter in the book Immigrent Men that achieved best seller status. Tyler is widowed, has three sons, and two granddaughters. Tyler resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with his rescue dog, Coco, and can often be found sitting at restaurants collecting characters for his next books and cheering on his Philadelphia Eagles.
