grasping smoke - m.r.k. huff
m.r.k. huff grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana raised by a single father. Like many young adults, she wasn’t sure of herself and felt pressured to be like everyone else. In high school, her creative writing teacher saw talent in her, which sparked huff’s dream of one day writing a novel. The dream was put on hold to join the Air Force just like her father had done. For the past thirteen years, Huff has served in the military and pursued degrees to assist in making her dream come true. During that time, she was able to find herself and discovered a passion for all things dark and twisty. Her writing reflects that and her stories often explore the darker, more powerful side of women with characters that adopt traditionally male roles. She doesn’t fit into the neat box of a traditional woman and wants all women to feel open to being their unapologetic, authentic selves. Today, Huff lives with her husband and three fur-babies. Her family is her life. She’s biding her time until she can retire from the military so she’ll have more time to write new twisted novels with even more unhinged women, ready to dominate the world.
