Saya de Mahla - Michael J. Scharen

About the author Mr. Scharen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 and an M.A. in 1989 -- both in physics. For several years, he worked in the area of thin film high temperature ceramic superconductors with several papers and patents to his name. Two were with Nobel Prize winner J. Robert Schrieffer. Writing is a recent endeavor -- since 2020. Long a fan of hard science fiction, he crafts engaging novels with relatable characters. Simultaneously his works extrapolate today's engineering achievements into tomorrow's possibilities. The prevailing thread throughout these stories is the quest for that true freedom to build, explore, and above all -- to act for oneself in a voluntary society. The adventure is there for strong-minded folks who refuse to be ruled by the mundane, petty vicissitude of arbitrary hierarchy.
