The Very Useful Pumpkin - Lisa Marie Wooding

Lisa Marie Wooding is mum to two wonderful children. Parenting has been the best adventure she's ever been on. It’s rewarding, challenging and no two days are ever the same. She has an NHS background and Psychology/English degree from Bath Spa University. Since focussing on her children, she has started to write about her experiences and since one of her children is non-verbal, she feels it is imperative to spread a positive message about neurodiversity.

It's approaching Halloween and all of the pumpkins have been chosen. All except one. This story takes a sad journey through a pumpkin’s life, expecting to be chosen for a family’s doorstep on Halloween but actually turns out to have a different purpose. We all have a purpose, and we are all useful. Teach your children that it’s okay not to be picked first and that life has unexpected twists and turns.
