Unputdownable - a Storytelling and Self-Editing Handbook -Nina Grove Hansen
Nina Grove Hansen first started working as a script editor in London back in 2003, working on primarily film projects. With an MA in Film and TV Drama from Goldmiths College, she was already trained in storytelling. When in 2007 she moved back to her native Norway, she began taking on books for editing. Specialising in developmental editing for fiction, she has worked as a freelance editor for primarily novels and short stories since. This has lead to a wide experience in helping budding authors get their projects off the ground. Gradually, she realised that a lot of them faced similar challenges. Could they be headed off? In 2022, Nina published her book Unputdownable, as a means to help new authors prevent common pitfalls when editing their first draft. But gradually, the book gained traction, and is now a popular self-help guide also for experienced authors, playwrights, screenwriters and journalists. Nina is better known on SoMe as the Script Detective.
