What is the name of your latest book?

Thirteen Thousand Lonely Nights

Can you describe this book in 5 sentences (or less)?

This book is a dissection of a soul. This book is a confession. This book is a performance. This book is a manifesto. This book is a love letter.

What does your writing process look like?

It's like crying. The words pour out of me like tears. You know, when you haven't had a good cry in a long time... I just let it all out until I feel better.

Whether it be music, books, films, the world, or other, where do you get your writing inspiration?

Love. The longing for love. All forms of art are love. So every one of them. Art = love.

What was the toughest part of writing this book for you?

I knew you would ask me this question. There is a series of chapters in the book entitled ‘Strange encounters of the unfortunate kind’. These chapters describe my tragic love life. That was the toughest part of writing the book. Very painful.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of writing a book?

Trust your words. Believe in your words. Don't worry about anything else.

What are you working on currently?

I am working on a spin-off. It's not really a sequel... It's something that I thought would be a chapter in the book... But it's going to be a separate book. A spin-off of Thirteen Thousand Lonely Nights. Something very, very different.
