Tara Pyfrom (she/her) is a freelance writer and author, born and raised as an island girl in the beautiful Bahamas. Her previous article publications can be viewed on her website and include HuffPost Personal, CBC News, Gay Parent Magazine, and UNILAD. Her memoir, The Ocean in Our Blood, tells her family’s harrowing story of survival from a Category 5 hurricane. She has previously been a guest on numerous podcasts focused on survival and mental health. Tara lives in New Brunswick, Canada, with her wife, daughter, and three dachshunds. When not writing, she can usually be found plotting her next far-off adventure with her family.
